Passing the four day course provides provisional accreditation and enables trainees to train their own clients to
National Standard - pdf document. Full accreditation can be achieved by succesfully passing an accreditation visit by one of our instructors. (see below)
Instructor shadowing
Sometimes it is difficult for a trainee from an area that does not have a tradition of cycle training to find an experienced trainer to “shadow” after their initial course.
We can sometimes help by enabling trainees to shadow our own instructors during their own training in Darlington’s schools.
Accreditation visits
Accreditation visits are carried out by our own instructors as an essential part of the training and accreditation process. Our instructor will need to observe the trainee running at least one full training session with real trainees in a real training situation.
In normal circumstances the accreditation process should be concluded within 6 months of attendance at the 4 day course. Provisional accreditation will normally lapse if full accreditation is not achieved within 1 year.
Costs
Cost of accreditation visits
Instructor travel costs are normally charged for the first visit to a local venue. Should any subsequent visits be necessary then Instructor time will also be charged.
Instructor time may also need to be charged when making a first visit to a more distant venue. This will, of course, be discussed with customers before invoices are raised.
